Biorefinery Model

The production of Biosuccinium™ utilizes an integrated biorefinery to enable production of bio-based succinic acid in an economically and ecologically sound manner.  Our first commercial Biosuccinium™ facility in Cassano, Italy converts bio-based feedstock by hydrolysis and low pH yeast fermentation to Biosuccinium™. The site uses co-generation of steam and electricity as well as on-site waste water treatment to ensure the best life cycle analysis. The nearness to a harbor ensures efficient global logistics.
